About Me: Xavier Rene Sanchez
My name is Xavier Rene Sanchez. I was born June 24, 1999 in San Antonio, Texas, with Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency and Bilateral Fibular Hemimelia. Arms to the elbows. Legs approximately half the typical length. No knees. The doctors told my mother a thriving life for me was unlikely but she continued on and went into that operating room alone.
After she woke up the nurses rolled her to the NICU where she saw me for the first time. She could only see little ball with a face. And she was completely in love and completely at peace. She saw my little arms and said, "Oh, they are little, that is okay." That night she made me a promise... that she'd give me the best life she possibly could.
From that point on she raised me like a man I had to become. The toys still got picked up and the chores still got done. When people stared, I learned I couldn't let others' discomfort write my story. That was not a lesson she taught me with words. It was a standard she showed me through actions, and expected me to match it.
Two Things Happened at 15
In the summer of 2015 I attended my first Believe It Foundation camp at TBarM, a regular summer camp that ran with both physically challenged and able-bodied kids together. It was the first time I had ever been away from my mother. No family, no safety net. What I found out was that the limitation I had been carrying around was not mine. It was a mindset. My mother almost drove back to get me on the third day. Andrew, the founder, sent her a picture of me in the middle of an activity, smiling. She said that was the best feeling she had ever had.
That same year I delivered my first public speech at Respite Care of San Antonio's 28th Anniversary Luncheon at Stable Hall at the Pearl. I was 15 years old. That event became the most successful fundraising luncheon in the organization's history to that point. I did not know that at the time. I just knew I had something to say and I was going to say it.
Those two moments guided me on my new path. One handed me back the standard for my own life. The other handed me a stage. I have been doing both ever since.
I started bodybuilding that same year. Vegan diet, six-days-a-week training with modified exercises. It was the first place I found undeniable, measurable control over what my body was capable of. I went into that gym as someone who had spent years shrinking in public. I came out of it as someone who understood that discipline is a muscle, not a mood.
I made the Dean's List at UTSA and earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Cybersecurity in 2021. In 2020, Cameron Davies of Cruising Kitchens built me a custom Toyota Sienna Minivan, we call it the spaceship, and I got my driver's license. This moment was the start of true independence. I went wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted. That same year, the episode of MotorTrend TV's Built for Business featuring my story won a Gold Telly Award. By 2022 I had purchased my first home on my own and was building a career at Revolut, where I rose from Account Executive to Account Manager and then to Growth Account Executive, promoted faster than the standard track, building automated outreach systems and managing high-value fintech portfolios.
My Impact and Mission
In 2026 I launched XS Impact International LLC full-time. The name is pronounced "Excess Impact", because everything I do is meant to be more than expected, more than enough, and more than what anyone said was possible.
Since that first speech at 15, I have spoken at corporate events, nonprofits, high schools, and galas. I have helped raise over $800,000 for San Antonio communities across more than a decade of advocacy. These are organizations that have used my story since I was a child to move people to give. I have been featured on Fox San Antonio, Great Day SA, San Antonio Magazine, and MotorTrend TV’s Gold Telly Award-winning episode of Built for Business, the channel’s most-watched video with over 141,000 YouTube views. In November 2023 I joined the Believe It Foundation as a board member. In September 2025 I was named Board Secretary. This is the same organization that changed my life when I was 15. The role I now play for the foundation is the same role the foundation once played for me.
I speak on resilience and leadership. I coach men who are done running on without a map. I consult organizations on building the operational infrastructure they should have built years ago.
The thread through all of it is the same: the variable the world did not account for built his own system. Now I help you build yours. I am engaged to my fiancée Jazmin. We are getting married December 3, 2027. San Antonio is home.
